Securing Isolated Properties
If you happen to live well away from the road, or, perhaps in a very isolated location with few, if any, neighbours, then you should be prepared to secure your home accordingly.
Often, but not always, houses that fit into this category will be perhaps larger, and maybe show that the owners are fairly well off, (to be blunt).
This, of course, will present a tempting target for potential house breakers, and the risks should be addressed.
Regardless of personal wealth though. Virtually all rural and isolated properties are at risk. The very fact that there may be less passing traffic and more chance of breaking in unseen can help burglars enormously.
